Gas is a cheaper and more economical way of heating your home but some people don’t have mains gas to their house. If this is the case and you still want to use gas for your heating requirements, you will need to have a propane tank installed or purchase the gas in bottles. And hook them to your appliances. If you want to have main gas in a tank as such, organize the gas people to come and survey your property and they will have it installed for you, then all you need to do is make sure you have it topped up properly. This way you can enjoy the ease and financial benefits of having all you r heating run on gas from your new gas tank.

If you are just looking to heat a room, workshop of garage space for examples, you are probably better off purchasing a portable propane heater, this will be cheap and efficient and you can move it around to the rooms you want to heat.  These types of portable propane heaters are also really handy if the electricity is cut off or your have some other type of heating emergency. Also if you do not have a reliable electric supply propane heater is a good alternative to keep you warm, just make sure the one you buy does not need any electrical input to make it work as some of them do.

Things to bear in mind with any heating appliance are initial cost, running costs and safety. Please be careful when placing any heating appliance in a room and ensure that all precautions are taken, do not cover it or place it close to flammable objects of substances.
